Foreigner-only South Korean gaming operator Grand Korea Leisure Co. Ltd. (GKL) reported a casino sales figure of KRW397.35 billion ($303.8 million) for the year 2023. This marked an increase of 49.8 percent compared to the preceding year, as stated in a filing with the Korea Exchange on Wednesday.

Foreigner-only South Korean gaming operator Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) recorded a decrease in gaming revenue on a month-on-month basis in November, with the most recent results indicating KRW 27.9 billion ($21.3 million) in casino sales during the period, down slightly 2.6 percent monthly and 1 percent yearly.

Grand Korea Leisure Co. has reported a second-quarter net profit of KRW8.6 billion won ($6.5 million), swinging from a loss of KRW8 billion ($6 million) a year earlier.

South Korean foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure saw a sharp drop in casino sales in May, at KRW25.23 billion ($19.46 million) – down some 44.5 percent from April.

The gaming revenue results from Korea’s two largest foreign-only casino operators – Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) and Paradise Co – saw stark improvements in October, as relaxed COVID measures began to show results.
