Cambodian and Vietnamese casino operator Donaco International Limited has reported significant financial results for the second quarter of this year, despite certain operational challenges.

Cambodian and Vietnamese casino operator Donaco International has reported steadily increasing earnings in 1Q24, almost fully reaching pre-COVID operational levels, as stated in the company’s quarterly report.

Casino operator Donaco International has reported a significant turnaround in its fiscal first-half net profit after tax, marking a notable improvement from the prior-year period.

Aristo International Hotel, located in Vietnam near the Chinese border, has reported an increase in revenue and EBITDA following an influx of tourism from China.

China's reopening has directly benefited Donaco Internationa's performance in 2Q23. The Cambodian and Vietnam casino operator says it has continued its operational turnaround strategy in 2Q23, with net revenue of AU$ 6.9 million ($4.62 million) versus AU$ 7.6 million ($ 5.1 million) in 1Q23. 

Cambodia and Vietnam casino operator Donaco International revealed that the firm has lodged an appeal against the tax penalty, action taken in response to a decision from the Vietnamese General Department of Taxation (GDT) regarding the requirement to pay tax collections and penalties of approximately VND 149.3 billion (circa $6.2 million).
