The UAE Lottery has confirmed its first ever AED100 million ($27.23 million) grand prize winner, marking a ‘historic milestone’ for the nation as it forges towards an increasingly gaming-friendly environment.
According to a statement from the operator, one ticket perfectly matched the seven numbers required to secure the jackpot. The draw is held every two weeks on Saturday, with odds of hitting the jackpot being under 1 in 8 million.
Currently the lottery provider indicated that it is ‘conducting due diligence to ensure all internal checks, security protocols, and General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) compliance requirements are fulfilled’. The checks need to be finalized before the prize is awarded and the details on the winner can be released.
The GCGRA is the federal executive agency responsible for regulating and overseeing commercial gaming in the UAE.

It will also oversee the under-construction Wynn Al Marjan Island’s casino, with the $5 billion-plus property – located less than an hour from Dubai – expected to open in ‘early 2027’.
It’s scheduled to be the Emirates’ first integrated resort, with expectations for a significant uptick in tourism revenue.
