Mohegan has announced that its INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon, South Korea – has earned its five-star hotel rating from the Korea Tourism Association, overcoming the milestone to be able to open its casino.
The property held a soft opening in November of last year, with the casino scheduled to open in the first quarter of this year.
The five-star rating is the highest under the Korean system, and focuses not only on the hotel venues but also the restaurant offerings.
Speaking of the achievement, Ray Pineault, CEO of Mohegan, noted: “This five-star rating for Mohegan INSPIRE is a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence and our commitment to providing world-class experiences”.
Chen Si, President of Mohegan INSPIRE furthered: “What incredible momentum going into this first quarter celebrating the casino’s grand opening – that’s how Mohegan continually sets the standard for integrated resorts that create unforgettable experiences.”
The group is planning to unveil its mall within ‘early 2024’ and an outdoor ‘experiential space’ in the spring. Further offerings are set to come online throughout the year.
This hotel phase includes three hotel towers, with 1,275 rooms, the 15,000-seat multi-purpose arena, MICE, restaurants and a ‘digital entertainment street’.
