Jeju Dream Tower casino sales increased 52.5 percent in May, reaching KRW41.36 billion ($30.1 million), as table game revenue increased 60.5 percent year-on-year.
Casino sales reached nearly KRW41.36 billion ($30.1 million) during the month, a notable increase from KRW27.11 billion ($19.7 million) in May of 2024.
The data comes from a filing by Lotte Tour Development, the operator of Jeju Dream Tower, with the Korea Stock Exchange.
Table game sales at the property reached KRW39.39 billion ($28.7 million) in May, marking a 60.5 percent gain compared to the same period last year and a 26.6 percent increase from April.
Conversely, machine-game sales experienced a year-on-year decline of 23.5 percent in May, totaling KRW1.96 billion ($1.4 million). However, these sales did see a sequential increase of 12 percent compared to April.
Hotel sales at the complex in May were KRW7.92 billion ($5.8 million), representing a 2.3 percent rise year-on-year and an 11.3 percent increase sequentially.
The casino table drop — the total amount customers paid for chips for table games — surged by 77.8 percent year-on-year and 2.8 percent month-on-month, reaching KRW194.19 billion ($141.4 million) in May.
For the first five months of this year, total Jeju Dream Tower casino sales amounted to just under KRW158.78 billion ($115.7 million), representing a 35.1 percent increase year-on-year. Cumulative hotel sales for the same period in 2025 were nearly KRW29.13 billion ($21.2 million), an 8.9 percent decrease year-on-year.
The casino drop for the calendar year up to May 31st stood at KRW802.71 billion ($584.8 million), a year-on-year gain of 37 percent.
