Abelson Sports reinvents betting with revolutionary player-first Bet Builder

Abelson Sports, a leading provider of sports data solutions, has launched its new player-first Bet Builder product, designed to extract the maximum value for operators from its soccer betting feeds.

The game-changing sports betting product, sitting within Abelson Sports’ TECH vertical highlights player prop bets across the most popular soccer markets. Crucially, it is configured to allow for unlimited leg combinations across a wide range of expanding markets, including validation to prevent any bet conflicts.

Designed with the modern player-focused fan in mind, the Bet Builder’s stylised iframe delivers a superior user experience by putting markets that bettors and operators want to see at the forefront of the sportsbook offering. Pre-match, in-play and cash-out options are fully supported, while pre-built options showcase the most popular selections.

The new Bet Builder product can be paired with Abelson Sports’ own extensive Football Player Markets feed to truly bring the product to life, but input sources are agnostic and originate from the operator’s own sportsbook feeds.

Jeevan Jeyaratnam, Chief Betting Officer at Abelson Sports, said: “We’re proud to be able to offer operators a new, player-first betting experience across a wide range of markets and leagues. It’s a soccer betting option that gives both operators and their customers what they want through a product that is attractively presented to the end user and which is easy to navigate and simple to integrate.

“While we believe it will become a valuable addition to partners that already take our Football Player Markets feed, we have developed the product to be agnostic in terms of input feeds to open it up to the widest possible market. We look forward to seeing it go live with our first customers.”

Utilising the latest, highly scalable, cloud technology for a rapid, robust solution, Bet Builder is available to operators either as an iframe, which is adjustable in line with brand design guidelines, or through an API.

With various delivery options and flexible commercials available, Abelson Sports’ latest product is positioned as a new generation of bet builder technology, enabling operators to increase margins while enhancing the betting experience.

DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Philippine-based digital entertainment company DigiPlus Interactive Corp., has officially been incorporated in Singapore following its Board of Directors’ approval on February 26th, 2025.

According to a filing to the Philippines Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the company notes that the Singapore subsidiary will not operate any gaming platforms due to strict regulatory requirements in the country. Instead, it will focus solely on providing regional support services as part of the company’s international expansion strategy.

DigiPlus Global is fully owned by Diginvest Holdings Inc., which is a 100 percent subsidiary of DigiPlus Interactive. Multi-entry visa for tour group drives 120K Hengqin-Macau trips in first year

0

Some 120,000 passenger round trips were made between Hengqin and Macau using group tourist visas over the past year, according to statistics from the Hengqin Border Inspection Station.

The monthly average has increased from 4,000 in 2024 to over 20,000 this year, effectively promoting the integration of cultural tourism and industrial development in both regions.

The figure was revealed on Tuesday, May 6th during the one-year anniversary of the multi-entry visa for tour groups between Hengqin and Macau being launched.

According to the local media outlet TDM, Su Kun, Deputy Director of the Guangdong-Macau In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, stated that the policy greatly facilitates business and tourism development in Hengqin and Macau, and the Executive Committee will continue to discuss optimizing the policy with relevant mainland Chinese authorities.

Zeng Xiang, Deputy Chief of the Hengqin Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, stated that they will continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the policy and collect feedback from travelers to provide suggestions for further policy optimization.

Yang Song, Deputy General Manager of China Travel Service at the Gongbei Port, said that the policy allows groups as small as two people, making it convenient for tourists to travel to Macau via the Hengqin port.

It is worth noting that this policy has been launched targeting nationwide tour group visitors. The policy is believed to have an impact on Macau’s hotel industry, as tour groups may have access to budget hotel options while attending visits or business trips in Macau during the day and staying at Hengqin.

After launching this policy, in December last year, SJM Resorts has signed an MOU with Zhuhai Hengqin Shun Tak Property Development Company Limited, a Shun Tak Holdings subsidiary, to acquire office properties in Hengqin for RMB546 million ($75.1 million).

According to parent company SJM Holdings Limited, these properties at the Shun Tak Business Center near Hengqin Port will be reconverted into a new 3-star hotel under the ‘Lisboa’ brand.

Macau players show ‘revenge spending’ with record 54% YoY wager increase: Citigroup

0

Macau’s premium mass gaming segment recorded unprecedented spending levels during the Labor Day holiday, with total observed wagers surging 54 percent year-on-year to HK$27.2 million ($3.5 million), according to Citigroup‘s latest monthly table survey.

The May survey, conducted by analysts George Choi and Timothy Chau, documented multiple million-dollar players on the same day for the first time in the survey’s history, suggesting strong consumer confidence despite ongoing Sino-US trade tensions.

‘The results from this month’s survey again highlight that players remain passionate about gaming, and the ongoing Sino-US trade conflicts so far appear not to be discouraging players from enjoying Macau’s gaming and non-gaming offerings,’ noted the Citigroup analysts in their report.

The survey recorded a historic high wager of HK$2.9 million ($374,200) by a single player at MGM Cotai’s Supreme Room—the highest individual bet ever observed by the Citigroup team. Another player at the Venetian’s High Limit area wagered HK$1.2 million ($154,800) during the same period.

The number of premium mass players rose 22 percent compared to May 2024, reaching 949 observed participants. The average wager per player increased 26 percent year-on-year to HK$28,654 ($3,698), outperforming even the Chinese New Year 2025 period by 9 percent.

US-based casino operators maintained their historical market share, accounting for approximately 63 percent of total premium mass wagers, suggesting that geopolitical tensions have not shifted player preferences. MGM China led the market with an estimated 30 percent share, followed by Galaxy at 22 percent.

Analysts attributed MGM Cotai’s strong performance in part to a concert by Chinese singer Han Hong held that evening, reinforcing the link between non-gaming attractions and gaming revenue. The property led all 19 surveyed premium mass rooms, with total observed wagers of HK$5.1 million ($658,000) and an average wager per player of HK$75,662 (9,763).

The investment memo notes that visitor numbers also reached impressive levels, with 222,000 tourists entering Macau on the survey day—surpassing the Chinese New Year 2025 peak day, which saw 219,000 arrivals.

Evoplay releases Instant Soccer, featuring betting-inspired mechanics

Evoplay, the award-winning game development studio, has launched Instant Soccer, a football-themed instant game designed to provide quick, strategic gameplay.

By combining the excitement of football with familiar betting-inspired features, Instant Soccer by Evoplay offers a fresh take on instant games that appeals to a broad player base.

The title allows players to set their target multiplier before the round begins, aiming to match or exceed it when the final multiplier is revealed. The more ambitious the target, the greater the risk and reward, with a maximum win of up to 10,000x the bet.

To support a tailored experience, Instant Soccer includes a Chance of Winning indicator based on the selected target and Advanced Autoplay, enabling players to automate rounds with customisable conditions.

A Quick History feature also enhances transparency and engagement, allowing users to track round outcomes and view top player rankings in real-time.

Play’n GO stands firm: No games for sweepstakes casinos

Play’n GO remains firm in its stance against providing games to sweepstakes casinos, as reaffirmed by CEO Johan Törnqvist. He emphasized that the company’s business strategy does not align with this sector and that Play’n GO will continue to focus on regulated markets.

Play’n GO CEO and Co-Founder Johan Törnqvist, said: “Sweepstakes casinos do not operate inside a regulated framework and that’s not something we support. Our commitment to regulated markets is absolute. We will never supply our games to sweepstakes casinos.”

The announcement comes as so-called sweepstakes casinos are increasingly under scrutiny by regulators and lawmakers, especially in the US.

Shawn Fluharty, Head of Government Affairs for Play’n GO, added: “Sweepstakes casinos threaten the regulated market model that many of us in the industry have worked so hard to achieve, which protects players first and foremost, and delivers much-needed revenue to jurisdictions.”

“Regulators across the US in particular are rightfully beginning to crack down on these unregulated operations. And I can say with confidence that regulators have long memories – anyone doing business with sweepstakes casinos today will find it very difficult to do business in a future regulated market.”

“Additionally, lawmakers certainly have an interest in protecting licensees and state revenues going forward.”

Play’n GO has been a vocal advocate for increased regulation in the online gaming space for many years.

The company was the first supplier in the industry to publicly rule out producing ‘bonus buy’ games, now banned by the UK and Dutch regulators and under discussion by many other regulators too.

In a further sign of the increasingly rapid divergence between regulated and unregulated spaces within the industry, Play’n GO was recently recognised as a priority partner by German casino operator Tipico. The partnership programme sees Tipico give Play’n GO games increased visibility and promotional spaces while, crucially, removing games entirely produced by other suppliers who serve both the regulated and black market in Germany.

Magnus Olsson, Chief Commercial Officer of Play’n GO, commented: “It’s no secret that with this decision, much like with our stance towards Bonus Buy games – we have been, and continue to leave a lot of money on the table. But everyone in the industry has a choice about what kind of industry we want.”

“We want to see a fully regulated and sustainable industry that protects players, promotes innovation, and ensures that we actually have an industry in the future. We are starting to see both regulators and operators, such as with Tipico in Germany, recognise that the future of the industry is through regulation. It’s time for other suppliers to do their part too and I’m delighted to see Play’n GO leading the way once again.”

Meanwhile, caution is also in the air in Thailand, with the nation’s Prime Minister seeking to assuage concerns over the proposed entertainment complex bill, citing economic benefits under a Singapore-like model. Meanwhile, Genting Malaysia is getting heat over its acquisition of the remainder of shares in Empire Resorts, which could negatively impact its financial prospects.
