International Game Technology announced the first Asian installation of its Peak49 cabinets and the deployment of its IGT Advantage casinos management system at the newly opened NUSTAR Resort & Casino in the Philippines. 

The NUSTAR Resort & Casino opened at the weekend on Cebu island in the Philippines, becoming the first integrated resort for the popular holiday destination.

NUSTAR Resort & Casino, which will be the first integrated resort on Cebu island in the Philippines, has clarified that the whole property will hold a soft opening in May.

The NUSTAR Resort & Casino officially launched its online sports betting platform, NUSTAR Sports Max, on Tuesday.

NUSTAR Resort and Casino has announced the successful launch of its highly anticipated “I Love Cebu” campaign, marked by the premiere of its music video.

IGT’s consolidated net loss stood at $4m, as compared to the net profit of $306m reported during for 2Q22. On the upside, NUSTAR will feature IGT systems and cashless wallet solutions.

Cebu is home to the Philippines’ newest integrated resort, with the NUSTAR Resort & Casino opening its doors in May, though some observers say there needs to be more critical mass for the area to reach its full potential as an international gaming destination.

Improving infrastructure and the return of international tourism will see integrated resorts in Philippines’ Clark and Cebu regions, and the IRs in Vietnam tipped for a strong rebound over the next few years, says industry veteran Dennis Andreaci. 

NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu is planning to soft launch its first luxury five-star hotel - Fili Urban Resort in May, local media reports. 

The Hann Casino Resort in Clark City held a soft opening in mid-December, while the NUSTAR Resort on Cebu is on track for a March debut as the Philippines emerges from lockdown.
