Lotte Tour Development, the promoter behind the Jeju Dream Tower casino resort on South Korea’s Jeju Island, has disclosed strong sales figures for May.
According to a filing made on Monday, the casino reported sales of just under KRW27.11 billion ($19.7 million), representing a 32.9 percent increase compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, the sales surged by 137.4 percent.
In addition to casino revenue, Jeju Dream Tower also saw positive trends in other areas. Hotel sales for May reached KRW7.74 billion ($5.62 million), showing a modest 3.3 percent growth from April and remaining flat compared to the same period last year.
The firm’s table game sales in May amounted to KRW24.54 billion ($17.83 million), marking a 25.7 percent sequential increase and a substantial 129.6 percent annual growth.
Machine games contributed significantly as well, with revenue reaching KRW2.56 billion ($1.86 million), a 193.9 percent surge from April and a 250 percent higher than the previous year.
Cumulative casino sales for the first five months of 2025 totaled nearly KRW117.51 billion ($85.4 million), reflecting a 211.4 percent year-on-year increase.
Lotte Tour also confirmed its expansion efforts. In April, the company opened a marketing office in Osaka, Japan, a strategic move given Osaka’s significance as a target market for South Korean gaming firms. Additionally, plans were underway to establish a Tokyo liaison office, coinciding with the launch of a direct flight route between Jeju and Tokyo.
