South Korean foreigner-only casino operator, Paradise Co., reported a 54.9 percent uptick in casino gaming revenue on a year-on-year basis in January, totaling KRW 74.53 billion ($56.3 million).
The surge in revenue is attributed to growth in both table games and slot segments. According to the company’s latest update, table games revenue increased by 56.2 percent yearly to KRW 69.66 billion ($52.6 million), while machine revenue saw a 38.2 percent uptick, reaching KRW 4.9 billion ($3.7 million).
On a month-on-month basis, the company’s gaming revenue for the first month of 2024 experienced an increase of 17.7 percent. Table gaming showed an 18.3 percent increase from December, while machine gaming revenue also rose 9.5 percent on a month-on-month basis.
Paradise Co. specializes in operating foreigner-only casinos, including Walker-Hill, Jeju, Incheon Paradise City, and Busan Casino.
