Mohegan Sun’s project in Incheon South Korea has received government approval for an extension to its construction deadline and tweaks to the business plan.
The company now plans to open in the first half of 2023 instead of 2022 as originally planned and will now include an outdoor activity park. It said Covid prompted the delay request and the modifications to its plan.
The project, called Inspire Entertainment Resort, got final approval from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
“The approved change plan incorporates sustainable development and forward-looking strategies, given the realistic and practical shifts in the tourism and hospitality industry hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis,” it said.
