Macau saw a flood of visitors over the Christmas holiday weekend, with authorities estimating some 362,000 visitors, at about 120,000 visitors per day.
The figure peaked on Saturday, with over 600,000 border crossings, including over 130,000 visitors.
The figures bode well for a strong fourth quarter – with a strong infusion of visitors from Golden Week (in October) and some 2.58 million visitor arrivals in November.
Authorities are still aiming to increase foreign visitation to the territory, one of the mandates under the new gaming licenses, as well as increase length of stay and spend by travelers.
