ACMA blocks more illegal offshore gambling websites

The ACMA has requested that Australian internet service providers (ISPs) block more illegal offshore gambling websites after investigations found two services to be operating in breach of interactive gambling laws.

The latest blocked websites include Crown Pokies and Play AUD.

According to the latest press release, ACMA requested that ISPs block 5 services – Reef Reels, Royal Reels, Ricky Casino, Slots Gallery, and Slotastic in July.

Since the ACMA made its first blocking request, 823 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked.

Over 210 illegal services have also pulled out of the Australian market since the ACMA started enforcing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017.
