The Star Gold Coast CEO tenders resignation

The Star has announced yet another departure from its corporate leadership, with Jessica Mellor – CEO of The Star Gold Coast – tendering her resignation.

The departure is effective from May 24th, however, the executive is set to stay on to ‘provide support […] to assist in a seamless transition and a number of important initiatives’.

Mellor was appointed to the role in October of 2023, having previously held the designation as COO since 2019.

The group notes that Mellor ‘was instrumental in developing The Star Gold Coast […] including the development of the $2 billion masterplan part of a joint venture consortium’.

The Star notes that a ‘search for a new CEO of The Star Gold Coast has commenced’.

The Star is developing its Gold Coast property alongside fellow joint venture partners in its Queen’s Wharf Brisbane multi-billion-dollar project – Chow Tai Fook and Far East Consortium.
