Crown has revealed the latest addition to its redevelopment plans with the introduction of ‘The Henley at Crown Melbourne,’ an upmarket bar set to open later this year.
Drawing inspiration from the historic Henley Regattas that have been taking place on the river Yarra since 1904, the space was designed by prominent Melbourne based architects Mitchell & Eades. It features a U-shaped marble bar that also forms the center piece of the venue, as well as an outdoor space.
The Henley will serve food and drinks, and place special emphasis on providing locally sourced products, such as Victorian wines and beers. Situated at the eastern end of the resort along the Riverwalk, The Henley will occupy the current Rosetta space, which is set to close on May 18, 2024.
Mike Volkert, CEO of Crown Melbourne, expressed excitement about The Henley’s unveiling, envisioning it as a key component in revitalizing Crown Melbourne. He emphasized the venue’s direct access to the Riverwalk, providing a unique riverside experience for guests.
The announcement of The Henley marks the beginning of Crown’s plans to curate a collection of top-tier restaurants and bars, blending global talent with local flair to establish Melbourne’s premier hospitality destination.
