Macau May GGR seen up in low 50% from April: Bernstein

Macau’s gross gambling revenue soared 92 percent in the first nine days of May from the final week of April, helped by the Golden Week holiday and is likely to end up month up in the low 50s percent, Bernstein Research notes.

The firm said total GGR until May 9 was MOP4.5 billion ($563 million), with an average daily rate of MOP500 million, that’s down 40 percent from 2019 but up 79 percent from April as a whole.

Bernstein said properties on Cotai had performed better than those on the Peninsula.
