South Korea’s largest integrated resort, Paradise City, has partnered with leading retailer Lotte Duty Free to boost inbound tourism, with a focus on capturing demand from Chinese travelers.
Paradise City is the flagship integrated resort of Paradise Co., a foreigner-only casino operator in South Korea, and is located near Incheon International Airport.
According to local media outlet The Korea Times, the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to develop an integrated travel and retail ecosystem combining accommodation, shopping, and entertainment. The initiative will also integrate customer data and marketing channels to enhance engagement with overseas visitors and drive repeat spending.

Under the partnership, the companies will link membership programs and premium services, offering targeted incentives such as upgraded benefits, promotional packages, and exclusive shopping privileges. Joint marketing campaigns will also be rolled out across Lotte Duty Free’s global online platforms and offline retail network to expand customer reach.
The collaboration comes as Lotte Duty Free resumes operations at Incheon International Airport after a three-year hiatus, part of broader efforts to rebuild its international customer base. Paradise City has also increased capacity through the reopening of the Hyatt Regency Incheon, positioning the resort to handle higher visitor volumes.
The partnership is expected to leverage Lotte Duty Free’s 2.5 million foreign members to strengthen access to the Chinese market. South Korea is increasingly seen as an alternative destination for Chinese outbound travelers amid ongoing China–Japan tensions, which have affected travel flows between the two countries.
Paradise City’s parent, Paradise Co., reported casino sales of KRW229.67 billion ($152.3 million) in the first quarter of 2026, up 1.8 percent year-over-year. Table game revenue rose 1.0 percent, while slot machine sales increased 14.9 percent, reflecting steady demand growth.
