Ukraine legislature fails to agree on gambling commission

At a meeting of the legislature of Ukraine held on March 4, none of the three submitted bills on the formation of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries was approved. Not a single proposal received the required number of votes. Meanwhile, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches is lobbying strongly against the lowering of gambling taxes.
