Philippines apprehend Chinese nationals involved in Parañaque POGO

Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents in the Philippines have arrested four Chinese nationals allegedly involved in a raided scam POGO hub in Parañaque City.

According to a news release, the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) detained the suspects, aged 33, 32, 37, and 26, at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.

The individuals were reportedly among those apprehended during a raid on an alleged cryptocurrency investment and love scam operation in Parañaque City. The establishment was also suspected of masquerading as a legitimate Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) firm last month.

The BI revealed that one of the suspects is wanted in Beijing for concealing income-related crimes, while two others are wanted for fraud. Another is being pursued for engaging in illegal business activities.
