Macau government cuts forecast for 2020 gaming tax to US$3.69 billion

The Macau government expects to collect MOP29.46 billion ($3.69 billion) in taxes from its casinos this year, down 42 percent from its prior prediction. MOP26.29 billion will come from direct tax based on casino gross gaming revenue (GGR). MOP210 million in taxes is expected to come from junket operators.
