Wynn Resorts appoints Paul Liu as board member

Wynn Resorts has appointed Paul Liu as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, praising his experience in developing VIP guest experiences for the Asia Pacific market.

 Liu is an Independent Director and a Class I member of the Board, with his appointment effective from August 3, 2023.

The hospitality professional was previously based in Shanghai as Partner at global leadership consultancy firm Egon Zehnder AG, with Liu leading the Services Practice in the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on hotels and hospitality, serving multinational and Chinese companies. The new board member was also previously COO of entertainment powerhouse Anschutz Entertainment Group China and a founder and CFO of luxury lifestyle destination Three On The Bund.

‘[Liu’s] track record and perspective on creating guest experiences in the luxury and hospitality fields, as well as his unique understanding of business talent in the Asia Pacific market, will be a significant contribution to the Company and will offer an important perspective to the Wynn Board of Directors,’ the gaming and hospitality group stated.

Wynn Resorts previously announced extensions to the contracts of its CEO and CFO, as well as salary increases for each, together with some changes to the board of its Wynn Macau subsidiary.
