As outlined in an Australia Stock Exchange filing, Foster will retain his position on the Board and fulfill his executive duties for an interim duration. Additionally, he will maintain his role as a director on pertinent subsidiary company boards until individuals with the required regulatory approvals can assume responsibility, clarified the company.

His demotion, occurring subsequent to the departure of former CEO and Managing Director Robbie Cooke last month, is reportedly linked to his recent appearance before an inquiry into The Star Sydney’s suitability to retain its casino license.

Janelle Campbell, recently appointed as The Star Sydney’s new property-level CEO, is awaiting regulatory approval. Meanwhile, Jessica Mellor, CEO of The Star Gold Coast, unexpectedly resigned earlier this month after just six months into the position.
