Asia Gaming eBrief: RGB profit drops 26% on product mix changes
More sales do not always mean better returns. RGB International’s second-quarter revenue climbed 15 percent, but a less favorable product mix pushed shareholder profit down 26 percent to $2.57 million, with gross profit and EBITDA also declining. In Papua New Guinea, Pacific Pearl casino is targeting a late-2026 opening with 100 gaming machines and 20 tables, subject to the remaining regulatory approvals. And in Macau, Wynn Macau declared a $0.029-per-share interim dividend after first-half profit surged, helped substantially by an $88.6 million derivatives gain alongside stronger operations.
RGB International recorded higher sales but weaker profitability in the second quarter of 2026, with shareholder profit falling 26 percent to $2.57 million. Group revenue rose 15 percent, while revenue from its core Sales and Marketing division increased 20 percent due to higher product volumes. However, the division’s pre-tax profit declined 21 percent, which the Malaysian gaming equipment supplier attributed to changes in product mix.
