Philippine property developer Megaworld Corporation is targeting a portfolio of nearly 12,000 hotel rooms by 2032, with new properties planned across major tourism destinations and business centers in the country.

The company said in a filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday that the expansion would include new developments in Palawan and Ilocos Norte, alongside continued growth in other locations.

The planned portfolio will combine Megaworld’s homegrown hotel brands with internationally branded properties.

Megaworld has also established Megaworld Global Hotels and Resorts to bring its expanding hotel portfolio under two operating groups.

Megaworld Hotels & Resorts will manage the company’s hotel developments in Metro Manila, Boracay, Batangas and Cebu.

A second group, Megaworld Global Hospitality, will oversee Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, new properties planned for Palawan and three Iloilo hotels: Courtyard by Marriott, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo and Belmont Hotel Iloilo.

Megaworld said the Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside is its largest hotel property. The approximately 1,530-room, two-tower hotel was previously known as Grand Westside Hotel and is located within Megaworld’s 31-hectare Westside City township in Parañaque. According to an earlier company filing, it will be connected by a dedicated skybridge to the adjacent Westside City integrated casino and entertainment complex.

The November 2025 filing said brand alignment, systems integration and operational improvements under Megaworld’s agreement with Accor were expected to pave the way for the hotel to open under the Mövenpick brand before the end of 2026.

Megaworld’s hospitality revenue increased 11 percent year-on-year to PHP3.1 billion ($50.3 million) in the first half of 2026, making it the company’s fastest-growing recurring-income segment.

The company attributed the increase to the opening of the 405-room Belmont Hotel Iloilo, which brought Megaworld’s hotel portfolio in Iloilo City to nearly 1,000 rooms.
