Property developer Megaworld Corp is set to open the 1,500-room Grand Westside Hotel before the end of the year inside its 31-hectare Westside City township in the bustling Entertainment City in Parañaque City.

Once opened, the hotel will be the largest hotel in the Philippines regarding total room keys.

Megaworld Corp is an affiliate of the Travellers International Hotel Group, which operates the Newport World Resorts integrated resort (formerly Resorts World Manila).

The Grand Westside Hotel will be Megaworld’s 19th hotel and its second homegrown hotel brand to rise inside Westside City, following the 529-room Kingsford Hotel Manila.

Regarding the development schedule, the first tower of the Grand Westside Hotel is slated for opening this year, while the second tower will open its doors by 2024.

Also within the Westside project is LET-controlled Suntrust Resort Holdings new Manila hotel and casino project, scheduled to open in 2024.

Suntrust’s project will incorporate a 450-room five-star hotel with a casino boasting 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines. It’s also developing the Westside shopping mall, opera house, and 2,000-room hotel complex.

Suntrust’s Manila hotel and casino development is part of a larger Westside City project by Westside City Resorts World Inc and Travellers International Hotel Group Inc.

When open, Westside City will become the fifth integrated resort in and around Manila’s Entertainment City precinct, alongside City of Dreams Manila, Newport World Resorts, Okada Manila, and Solaire Resort & Casino.
