Asia Pioneer Entertainment has published a white paper at the ASEAN Gaming Summit on the marketing opportunities for the hospitality industry in the metaverse.
The white paper is entitled “Opportunities for Resorts & Hotels on the Metaverse.” It was authored by Tony Chan, CFO of Hong Kong-listed APE. Chan was also the creator of APE’s Resortverse project, which comes under unit, APE Digital Creations.
The white-paper gives a refreshing set of ideas on how resorts and hotels can adopt new metaverse and web3 trends into their marketing strategy to bring customers to resort.
The key takeaways from the white-paper are:
- The use of metaverse as a new marketing platform for resorts and hotels to allow customers to explore their properties online;
- The use of video games, challenges and play to earn rewards to make the metaverse experience more engaging and
- The use of web3 marketing methodologies to draw customers into a user community for greater customer loyalty.
The global metaverse market is projected to grow from $100 billion in 2022 to $1.3 trillion by 2029, with a compound average growth rate of 47.6 percent, the white paper says, citing Fortune Business Insight figures.
Asia Pioneer has been in the supply side of the casino floor for many years in Macau but with the pandemic, this project is a first pivot into the marketing side of the resort business.
Tony Chan will be speaking on the first day of the ASEAN Gaming Summit at a workshop to present his whitepaper to hotels and resort executives.
