MGM China and the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau (ICAMO) have teamed up to co-host the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Sharing Session and the signing ceremony of the “Enjoy & Rewards from Macau” Vending Machine Program — a collaborative scheme which serves as a cost-effective and convenient gateway for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to reach out to Mainland consumers.

The signing ceremony and sharing session were held on November 29 at MGM MACAU.

Kenneth Feng, President, Chief Strategic and Financial Officer of MGM said, “It is with great pleasure that MGM and ICAMO have long engaged in close partnership to launch various activities to help local SMEs and promote Macau brands. The Vending Machine Program we are launching this year is our new endeavor offering a low risk and cost, while a convenient and flexible inventory channel to enter the Mainland market. The Program also enables Mainland consumers to experience Macau’s culture on the spot through handpicked Macau-branded products in the vending machines. In the future, MGM and ICAMO will continue to work together to help local SMEs advance their competitiveness and expand their businesses into the GBA.”

Kevin Ho, President of ICAMO said, “We are so grateful to join hands with MGM to co-launch the Vending Machine Program this year. As the nation’s key metropolis and one of the GBA’s two core innovative cities, Guangzhou is well-positioned to be the strategic location of this Program. We hope to leverage this scheme to further amplify the growth opportunities of local SMEs, expand their business into the GBA, and as a result, to help foster the diversification of Macau’s economy.”

With an aim to offer a new platform for Macau’s SMEs to showcase their items to Mainland customers, increase brand awareness and gain popularity in the Mainland market, the Program will see five vending machines set up in Huangpu District, Guangzhou this year, with over 150 products from 17 Macau’s SM
