Macau six gaming concessionaires are planning to present their 2024 investment plans in September of this year, according to Macau’s Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture.

Speaking to the SAR’s legislative body, Elsie Ao Ieong noted that the plans include “non-gaming initiatives encompassing 11 areas, including culture and sport.

“Regarding sports, we’ve been defining the requirements. Each concessionaire has to define what their investment amount is and how that will support Macau’s local companies,” noted the Secretary.

Concessionaires in March already submitted their 2023 investment plans, and are required each year to define the scope and roll-out of their investment plans and activities, as defined under their new 10-year gaming concessions.

The six concessionaires have pledged some $14.8 billion in investment over the 10-year period, 92 percent of which is non-gaming.
