Mohegan announces changes to its corporate executive team

Mohegan has announced a series of changes to its corporate executive team, including the appointment of Joffre Wells as VP of Capital Markets. The group has also internally promoted to bolster its international marketing and human resources arms.

In a recent release, the group also noted that Kelly Leung and Kelly Sullivan have been promoted to the group’s Leadership Team.

Speaking of the appointments, Ray Pineault, President and CEO of Mohegan noted that “Our leadership at Mohegan is as strong as ever as we head into 2024 where we’ll meet new challenges and evolve our brand further.”

Prior to joining Mohegan, Joffre Wells worked with BlackRock, Brandywine Global and JPMorgan Chase, as well as serving on the board of volunteer-based education group Minds Matter.

Regarding the appointment, Mohegan notes that ‘Joffre will help steer Mohegan’s capital planning utilizing his expertise in fixed income, interest rate management and foreign exchange hedging, while further strengthening our investor and banking relationships.’

Kelly Leung will be assuming the position of Senior VP of International Marketing, after being ‘a crucial part of the Asian Marketing efforts at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut’. Leung has over 27 years in gaming, working with Foxwoods, Caesars and Mohegan Sun.

Meanwhile, Kelly Sullivan is stepping into her role as VP of People Operations, after a decade with the company in a range of Human Resources roles.

The group has been working to continually improve its management team, as it held the soft-opening of its first property in Asia – INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, in Incheon in late November.

The property hosts three hotel towers, with 1,275 rooms and a multi-purpose arena. Its casino is scheduled to open ‘within the first half of 2024’.
