The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) reported 88 cases of suspicious betting to the relevant authorities during 2Q22, 20 percent of which originated in Asia.
Vietnam, India, Nepal, Mongolia, Georgia, Israel, Kuwait, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, were among the countries covered in the IBIA report.
The 2Q22 alerts covered eight sports, with the top three being football (32 cases), tennis (27), and horseracing (12) and accounting for over 80% of all alerts reported.
From a geographical perspective, the alerts spanned 36 countries with Europe accounting for around half (52%) of all alerts reported, followed by Asia (20%) and North America (15%).
