Queensland’s April gaming tally up 8.6% yearly

Gaming gross revenue in Australia’s state of Queensland’s club and pub markets increased by 8.6 percent in April compared to the same month last year but decreased by 2.8 percent compared to March.

According to Wohlsen Consulting data, for April 2024 the electronic gaming machines in the state generated some AU$275.6 million ($182 million) in machine gross revenue, or AU$230 ($152) in average daily revenue per machine.

In comparison to the average daily revenue of electronic gaming machines, April’s figure represents an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same month last year.

Hotels broke the downward trend and grew market share in April.
