Macau’s Tourist Price Index fell 15.16 percent year-on-year in the first quarter and was down 2.05 percent from the final quarter of last year, mainly due to a drop in hotel room rates.

Information from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) showed the price of hotel accommodation fell 55.09 percent year-on-year. Transport & Communications was down 11.23 percent and Food, Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco down 5.48 percent, while the price index of Miscellaneous Goods rose 2.33 percent.
