Sportradar partners with LNB to strengthen Brazilian basketball

Brazil’s top professional basketball league, the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB), has entered a comprehensive multi‑year partnership with Sportradar Group AG to accelerate international growth and drive innovation across the league.

Sportradar partners with LNB to strengthen Brazilian basketball

Sportradar secures worldwide rights across audiovisual betting and gaming, as well as betting data collection and distribution for one of the most popular professional sports in Brazil. The agreement covers all competitions within the LNB ecosystems including the NBB Caixa, the country’s premier men’s professional basketball league, the Copa Super 8, Development League, Liga Ouro, Interligas and the Interligas Development League.

As part of the agreement, LNB will leverage Sportradar’s Synergy portfolio, including Synergy Stats for advanced data collection and analytics, and Synergy Coaching, a premier AI-driven video analysis and scouting platform that enables teams to break down game footage, scout opponents, and evaluate talent.

In addition, LNB will integrate Sportradar’s industry-leading Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS AI), alongside educational workshops for athletes, administrators and referees, to safeguard more than 620 matches per season from corruption and match-fixing.

Sergio Floris, Managing Director for Brazil at Sportradar, said: “We are delighted to partner with the LNB and support the next phase of growth for basketball in Brazil. Sportradar already has a strong presence in the country through partnerships in football and volleyball, and we have long looked forward to welcoming Brazil’s premier basketball league into our portfolio. Together, we aim to elevate the league through innovation, data and integrity”.

Rodrigo Montoro, President of the LNB, emphasized that Sportradar is a global benchmark in innovation, data, and integrity, noting that the agreement will significantly enhance the development of Brazilian basketball starting next season. He added that the partnership strengthens the LNB’s position in both national and international markets and will deliver substantial benefits to the sport over the next four years.

With a long-standing integrity partnership with the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) and a comprehensive agreement with the CBV (Brazilian Volleyball Confederation), the addition of the NBB completes Sportradar’s presence across Brazil’s three most popular sports, representing a natural culmination of efforts to support the development and protection of competitions that are central to fans’ passion.

Additional releases will follow, including Blazing Bison Gold Blitz Ultimate Double X, scheduled for April, reinforcing the ongoing expansion of the Gold Blitz portfolio.

Gold Blitz has delivered strong performance globally, with the mechanic consistently ranking as Games Global’s top-performing game franchises, attracting over 1 million active players globally across partner operators in 2025.

The move further strengthens the relationship between Games Global and BetMGM, as the supplier continues to support the operator in maximising player engagement across regulated jurisdictions.

MGM Resorts signs voting deal with IAC, Barry Diller to cap influence

MGM Resorts International, parent of Macau gaming operator MGM China, has entered into a voting agreement with IAC Inc. and media executive Barry Diller, establishing a mechanism to limit the influence of their combined voting stake while securing board representation.

According to a filing released on April 7th, under the agreement, IAC, Diller and their controlled affiliates will vote any shares exceeding 25.73 percent of MGM’s total voting power in proportion to how other shareholders vote on the same matters. The provision applies to votes at both annual and special shareholder meetings, as well as written consents.

The arrangement effectively caps the group’s voting influence above the threshold, aligning excess votes with broader shareholder outcomes while allowing them to retain economic ownership.

In parallel, the agreement provides governance rights to IAC, including the ability to designate up to two directors to MGM’s board, subject to qualification requirements and regulatory approvals. Diller is currently deemed to be one of those designated directors.

The agreement will terminate if certain conditions are met, including if the group’s ownership falls below 17.5 percent, if MGM fails to nominate the IAC-designated directors, or upon a change of control of the company.

Macau records nearly 666k visitor arrivals during five-day Easter, Ching Ming break

Macau recorded nearly 666,000 visitor arrivals during the combined five-day Easter and Ching Ming holiday period from April 3rd to 7th, according to data released by the Public Security Police Force.

The figure represents an average of about 133,000 visitors per day.

Authorities reported that total cross-border movements across the SAR checkpoints exceeded 3.48 million during the period, with visitors accounting for more than 1.347 million trips. These visitors primarily entered through the Border Gate, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge checkpoint, and the Hengqin port.

April 7th, the final day of the holiday, recorded more than 642,000 passenger movements across all checkpoints, including approximately 188,000 visitor trips.

This year, the Easter and Ching Ming holidays overlapped with a weekend, creating a five-day break in Macau. However, mainland China observed only the Ching Ming holiday from April 4th to 6th, which may have influenced travel patterns during the period.

SOFTSWISS’s Pipeguard cybersecurity solution wins Global Tech Award 2026

0

SOFTSWISS, a leading iGaming software provider, has won the 2026 Global Tech Award in Cyber Security Technology for Pipeguard, its custom‑built security platform integrated directly into the software development process.

The Global Tech Awards celebrate technology excellence across industries worldwide, making this a significant milestone for SOFTSWISS on the global tech stage.

SOFTSWISS developed Pipeguard to solve a common industry problem. As development speeds increase, standard security tools create too many low-value alerts. Engineers spend time chasing false alarms instead of fixing real risks. The solution automates the process, handling more than 2,000 scans daily across over 200 production repositories across multiple product lines. This enables the resolution of more than 90% of critical issues within agreed timeframes.

Pipeguard is an internal system designed to protect software before it goes live. It works directly inside the development process, identifying and blocking unsafe code, vulnerable software components, exposed credentials, and infrastructure and configuration issues before they reach production.

One of Pipeguard’s core innovations is the Risk Context Score, a proprietary method that ranks findings based on actual business risk. This approach reduced irrelevant security alerts by 95%, allowing engineers to focus on genuine threats. New projects can typically be connected to the platform in a few hours.

The platform supports a technology ecosystem used by more than 1,400 iGaming brands across multiple regulated markets. It also helps SOFTSWISS meet compliance requirements and regulator audits across multiple regulated markets, including Brazil, South Africa, Estonia, and Mexico, among others.

Commenting on the recognition, Evgeny Zaretskov, Group Chief Security Officer at SOFTSWISS, said: “In iGaming, where release speed is high, and trust is critical, security controls have to work inside delivery, not next to it. Pipeguard helps stop exploitable weaknesses from reaching production across the SOFTSWISS product ecosystem. This award is a recognition of our contribution to global technology standards in cybersecurity.”

SOFTSWISS will continue showcasing its latest solutions at BiS SiGMA South America 2026. Operators can meet the team at stands M80 and M85 to learn how the company’s technology helps secure and scale iGaming projects in regulated markets.
