Thai Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat has announced that a feasibility study on legalizing casinos and gaming resorts in Thailand will be completed within three to four weeks.

The study results to legalize casinos and entertainment complexes in Thailand are set to be presented at the upcoming cabinet meeting next week, according to the report from the Bangkok Post.

A study, due to be submitted to the Thai parliament on Thursday, suggests that once integrated resorts (IR) with casinos are established, there is a possibility for a significant increase in average tourist expenditure, potentially by 52 percent to THB65,050 ($1,790) per trip.

A committee from Thailand's House of Representatives, responsible for evaluating the feasibility of legalizing casinos in the country, will present its findings to the parliament next week.
