The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers’ monthly index of U.S. gaming supplier stocks gained 3 percent to another record high in October.
The AGEM Index was up by 31.17 points to 1,077.92. That is more than double where it was a year ago. A majority of companies in the index were in positive territory.
Major contributors to the monthly gain were International Game Technology whose stock was up 12 percent. Aristocrat Gaming also added 15.06 points to the index, even though its shares declined, due to an increase in outstanding stock to a share issue to raise funds.
There are 11 companies in the index, with Scientific Games proving the biggest drag in the month, with its stock down 3.6 percent.
