International Gaming Standards Association appoints two new board members

The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA) has announced the appointment of two new members, hailing from Light & Wonder and Playtech, to its Board of Directors.

According to a dispatch, Donovan Meyer, chief architect at gaming supplier Light & Wonder, and Charmaine Hogan, head of regulatory affairs at gaming software provider Playtech, will now join the board.

The International Gaming Standards Association is the largest technical standards development organization focused on creating and evolving standards and protocols for the global gaming industry.

With members in 20 countries and input from regulators, operators, and suppliers across more than 30 countries, the organization serves as a key link between jurisdictional regulatory bodies and both online and land-based gaming operators, fostering innovation and compliance in the industry.

Charmaine Hogan from Playtech will replace Martin Pedak, who has been a long-standing representative for Playtech and served as Vice-chair of the Board.

The current Board of Directors of IGSA is also composed of Nimish Purohit from Aristocrat as Chair, Spencer Peterson from Konami Gaming, Syed Hussain from the Oregon Lottery, and John McCafferty from the Umpqua Indian Development Corporation.

IGSA President Mark Pace expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating, “I am pleased that the Board has appointed these individuals, both of whom are from Director-level member companies.”
