Manila and surrounding cities extends lockdown to July 15

Greater Manila will remain under general lockdown with fewer restrictions until July 15, according to an announcement from the presidential palace.

The rest of the country is placed under a modified general lockdown.

The Department of Health (DoH) reported 4,479 coronavirus infections on Tuesday, totalling 1.4 million since the start of the pandemic.

The government has also extended its travel ban on India and its neighbours until mid July.
