DFNN teams with DICT and FAB for Plug and Play’s Horizon Philippines Project

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), and DFNN have jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding, establishing themselves as the founding anchors of Plug and Play’s Horizon Philippines Project.

This collaborative initiative aims to propel the thriving startup and innovation ecosystem in the Philippines. The overarching objective is to position Bataan as a central hub for technology, fostering new employment opportunities and sustainable economic development in the region.

DFNN’s involvement in this partnership with Plug and Play is centered around its collaboration in the Horizon Philippines project. The project seeks to leverage the abundant talent pool in the country, driving economic growth through advancements in technology and entrepreneurship.

Ricardo F. Banaag, DFNN’s President and CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the groundbreaking initiative with Plug and Play, stating that “Horizon Philippines” goes beyond being a mere program. He emphasized that it represents a commitment to nation-building, fostering collaboration between government, industries, and innovators to facilitate inclusive digital transformation.
