Macau recorded more than 380,000 visitor arrivals during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday, as the seasonal break in Macau, Hong Kong and mainland China supported cross-border travel, according to police data.
Across the three-day period, Macau’s border checkpoints handled more than 2.07 million passenger movements. Visitor movements into and out of the city totaled more than 776,000, including more than 380,000 arrivals and nearly 396,000 departures.
The Border Gate checkpoint remained the main entry point, receiving nearly 170,000 visitors during the holiday. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and the Macau port area of Hengqin port recorded about 80,000 and more than 63,000 visitor arrivals, respectively.
On the final day of the holiday, Macau’s checkpoints handled more than 631,000 passenger movements. Visitor arrivals reached more than 91,000, including over 38,000 through the Border Gate, more than 21,000 through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and over 14,000 through Hengqin.
Visitor departures on the same day totaled more than 111,800, led by over 46,000 via the Border Gate.
