Macau gaming regulator appoints two officials

Macau’s gaming watchdog, the DICJ, appointed Iao Fu and Ng On Lou as the heads of the Supervision Division and the Studies and Information Analysis Division on Thursday.

According to the press release, Adriano Marques Ho, the head of the regulator, hosted a swearing-in ceremony.

Iao Fu holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Business Management from Macau Institute for Tourism Studies, a bachelor’s degree in Law from Huaqiao University, and a master’s degree in Public Administration jointly offered by Peking University and the National School of Administration.

From September 1993 to December 1999, he served as an inspector in the former Gaming Inspection and Coordination Department. From December 1999 to November 2003, he was an inspector in the former Gambling Inspection and Coordination Bureau. From November 2003 to the present, he has been an inspector in the Gambling Inspection and Coordination Bureau. From September 2021 to January 2023, he served as a position supervisor, and from February 2023 to the present, he serves as the acting director of the First Supervision Division.

Ng On Lou holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from the University of Macau, majoring in Applied Chinese and Chinese Communication. She joined the DICJ as a technician in January 2006 and has been a senior technician since April 2008. She has been acting as the head of the Studies and Information Analysis Division from February 2023 to the present.
