BREAKING: Nagasaki IR proposal not approved: report

According to Japanese news site FNN, the Nagasaki integrated resort proposal is not expected to be certified by the government, effectively shutting down the possibility for a second casino complex within the country.

The publication notes that an official announcement is set to be made later in the afternoon. AGB will update the information as it becomes available.

Given the delays and complications surrounding the Osaka IR, as well as intense public pushback, analysts and industry experts had previously express their doubts to AGB that Nagasaki would be able to go forward.

Casinos Austria was leading the Nagasaki IR proposal, as part of a consortium called Kyushu Resorts Japan.
