Behind The Gloves has announced a new networking activation for SBC Summit Lisbon as it builds momentum for Midnight Mayhem 2027, its flagship charity boxing event scheduled to take place in Barcelona on 19 January 2027.

The initiative will see the launch of the Midnight Mayhem Fight Card Collection, a limited-edition set featuring 25 individuals involved in the campaign. Inspired by classic trading cards, each participant is rated across a range of categories, with 1,000 complimentary packs set to be distributed throughout the summit.

The activation introduces a competitive twist through two deliberately rare cards, meaning only 10 complete collections can exist. Attendees who manage to acquire all 25 cards and present the full set to organisers will win a VIP table at Midnight Mayhem, valued at €6,500.

Designed to encourage interaction across the exhibition floor, the campaign aims to turn a traditional conference giveaway into a large-scale networking activity while introducing delegates to the fighters, their personal stories and the charitable causes they represent.

Alongside the summit activation, Behind The Gloves confirmed support from major operators Betsson and ComeOn Group, both of which have committed to participating in the event.

Taking place at La Paloma in Barcelona, Midnight Mayhem will feature 20 industry figures competing in 10 boxing bouts, with organisers targeting more than €200,000 in charitable fundraising. The event will combine boxing, hospitality, networking, entertainment and an afterparty while supporting 25 charitable causes selected through a combination of official partners and organisations chosen by participating fighters.

Causes supported through the wider campaign include Support Our Paras, WBC Cares UK, Oliver’s Wish Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Trust and CHIPS, alongside charities such as Parkinson’s UK, MS Society, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Help for Heroes, Action Medical Research and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Commenting on the latest developments, Behind The Gloves founder Lee McFarland shared the event was designed to offer more than a traditional industry gathering. “We want to create one of those nights people are still talking about years later, but underneath all of the theatre, entertainment and madness there has to be a purpose.”

McFarland added that the involvement of operators including Betsson and ComeOn Group demonstrates growing industry support for the initiative’s charitable objectives. “Our target is now to generate more than €200,000 for charity, create meaningful awareness for 25 causes and show what can happen when this industry comes together to do some good.”

Ahead of the January event, organisers expect the Fight Card Collection to attract significant attention in Lisbon. “With only ten of the rarest cards in existence, I expect SBC to become one enormous trading floor,” McFarland said.

Midnight Mayhem is affiliated with WBC Cares UK and aims to demonstrate how boxing can be used as a platform for community engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and charitable impact across the gaming industry.
