The Philippine Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality has cited former Bamban mayor Alice Guo in contempt for evading questions during a recent hearing.

Apprehended fugitive ‘POGO mayor’ Alice Guo could arrive in the Philippines as early as tonight, according to a police official.

Lawmakers in the Philippines hope that Alice Guo’s arrest will pave the way for her appearance in ongoing probes by the Senate and the House of Representatives.

‘POGO mayor’ Alice Guo has reportedly been arrested in Indonesia, with confirmation from the Philippines’ Department of Justice and National Bureau of Investigation.

Money laundering charges have been filed against ‘POGO mayor’ Alice Guo and 35 other individuals with the Philippines Department of Justice (DOJ).

The Philippine President has again weighed in on the case of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, stating that the investigation into her departure from the country is “almost finished”.

Alice Guo, the controversial and recently dismissed “POGO Mayor”, has seemingly fled the Philippines and traveled to Malaysia and Singapore, according to Philippine Senator Risa Hontiveros.

The Philippines’ Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the dismissal from service of “POGO Mayor” Alice Guo, who had been previously suspended.

The Office of the Philippines’ Senate Sergeant at Arms (OSAA) deployed four teams to execute arrest warrants for suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and seven others. 

The Philippines’ Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) has obtained a freeze order from the Court of Appeals on the assets of suspended Mayor Alice Guo and other individuals allegedly involved in the illegal activities of POGO.
