China has declared a temporary exemption from visa requirements for citizens from six countries, including Malaysia and five European nations.

China and Malaysia have agreed to extend their mutual visa-free policy following the visit of Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Malaysia this week.

A study by the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) has found that intraregional tourism within ASEAN+3 countries was ‘particularly strong’, except for China, where the recovery of outbound tourism has significantly lagged.
