Gaming equipment and services group Light & Wonder has announced the appointment of Simon Johnson as the new CEO of the company’s iGaming business.
In a press release, the company did not specify when the executive transitioned from his former role of Senior Vice President and international Managing Director to his new role.
According to the release, Johnson will report directly to President and CEO Matt Wilson and ‘join the Company’s Executive Leadership Team’.
Johnson joined LNW in 2017 and ‘has been instrumental in driving the international commercial efforts of the Gaming business’, noted the group in a social media post.
The group furthered that Johnson in his new role will ‘bring his extensive industry expertise to lead iGaming into its next chapter’.
Johnson has been with LNW for over four years, and previously worked for Scientific Games’ Gaming division.
