The UAE continues to rise to the forefront, with new announcements that the JW Marriott is going to be opening a property on Al Marjan island at Wynn Resorts’ new proposed integrated resort.

According to reports, the resort is expected to capture some 5 million tourists annually, with expectations to open by the end of 2026.

The new venue comprises 524 residences, including penthouses, as well as 300 guest rooms.

Speaking of the new offerings, the CEO of Marjan – Arch Abdula Al Abdouli – noted that “JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort & JW Marriott Residences Al Marjan Island, are a luxury offering that will boost investment opportunities for both homeowners and tourists keen on enjoying the perks of waterfront living in prime leisure hubs”.

Al Marjan has been key in putting the UAE on the map as a potential gaming destination, with Wynn making it’s foray into the sphere with hopes to open by early 2027.

The Marriott announcement could possibly indicate an acceleration of schedule, even as the US-based operator aims to secure the emirate’s first casino license.
