Jeju Dream Tower’s casino table drop reached its highest level since Dream Tower Casino opened in June 2021, rising to KRW293.78 billion ($213.9 million) in August. However, the record wagering volume did not translate into higher casino sales as the table hold rate fell sharply.

Casino sales totaled KRW46.22 billion ($33.6 million), down 10.4 percent from KRW51.60 billion ($37.6 million) in July. The August figure was still up 7.5 percent year-on-year, Lotte Tour Development said in a Korea Exchange filing on Tuesday.

Table drop rose 35.5 percent from July and 16.8 percent year-on-year, surpassing the previous monthly high of KRW265.80 billion ($193.5 million) recorded in September 2025.

The table hold rate fell to 14.8 percent, its lowest level so far this year, from 22.6 percent in July and 16.4 percent in August 2025. The lower hold offset the increase in wagering volume.

Table game sales reached KRW43.49 billion ($31.7 million), down 11.1 percent sequentially but up 5.7 percent year-on-year.

Machine game sales increased 1.4 percent from July and 49.5 percent from a year earlier to KRW2.73 billion ($2 million).

Casino visitation totaled 59,048 in August, representing a 5.8 percent decline from July but an increase of 3.5 percent year-on-year.

Hotel sales were largely unchanged from the previous month at KRW8.77 billion ($6.4 million), while rising 4.9 percent from August 2025.

For the first eight months of 2026, casino sales increased 29.4 percent year-on-year to KRW363.56 billion ($264.7 million).

Table game sales rose 29.5 percent to KRW346.18 billion ($252 million), while machine game sales increased 27.8 percent to KRW17.38 billion ($12.7 million). Cumulative table drop grew 13.7 percent to KRW1.72 trillion ($1.25 billion).

Hotel sales for the January-to-August period increased 12 percent to KRW58.48 billion ($42.6 million).

Dream Tower Casino is a foreigner-only gaming venue within the Jeju Dream Tower integrated resort, which includes the 1,600-room Grand Hyatt Jeju.
