GEG expands community support via “V Together” Volleyball Outreach Series During VNL Finals Macao 2026

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has launched the “GEG Sports for Good Community Program: ‘V Together’ Volleyball Outreach Series” alongside the Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) – Finals Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, reinforcing its commitment to using sport as a platform for social inclusion, community engagement and youth development.

Now in its 16th year of supporting world-class women’s volleyball events in Macau, and its second year serving as a co-organizer of the tournament, GEG has introduced a series of community-focused initiatives designed to extend the excitement of the VNL beyond the court and into the wider community.

Through the “V Together” Volleyball Outreach Series, GEG has partnered with fellow event organizers to deliver a variety of activities that connect residents with the international sporting spectacle. The program includes volleyball exchange sessions, match attendance opportunities for local social service organizations and community groups, interactive experiences at the “Volleyball Experience” zone at Galaxy Macau, and support for charity fundraising initiatives at the tournament venue.

As part of the initiative, nearly 200 participants from local youth and social service organizations—including Fuhong Society of Macau, Macau Special Olympics, Macau Deaf Association, Caritas Macau, and the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau—were invited to attend matches and take part in event-related activities. GEG also supported Macau Special Olympics and Fuhong Society of Macau in operating charity sales booths during the tournament, helping promote greater awareness of inclusion and diversity through sport.

Further highlighting community participation, members of Hong Kong Hin at the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau prepared welcome bouquets for participating teams staying at Andaz Macau, while members of Macau Special Olympics and the Macau Deaf Association were invited to experience a range of volleyball-themed activities designed to deepen their appreciation of the sport.

Ahead of the competition, members of the Chinese Women’s National Volleyball Team, including Dong Yuhan, Yang Shuming, Zhang Zixuan and Zhou Yetong, joined local youth athletes and members of the Volleyball Team of the GEG Staff Social Club for a special exchange session. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with elite athletes, hear firsthand accounts of their professional journeys and take part in friendly volleyball activities.

GEG also supported a variety of complementary events that brought the tournament atmosphere into the community, including the “Art Everywhere – Cultural Vibes at the Weekend” program at Nam Van Lake, interactive volleyball experiences at Galaxy Macau and autograph sessions featuring participating athletes. These activities helped create additional touchpoints for residents and visitors to engage with the tournament and the sport of volleyball.

The latest initiative builds on GEG’s broader efforts to leverage major sporting events for positive social impact. Recent community programs have included the “Celebrating ITTF Centenary – GEG Macau Special Olympics Inclusive Table Tennis Fun Day 2026” and the “GEG Run with a Partner Training Program,” which brought together GEG staff and Macau Special Olympics athletes to train for the Galaxy Entertainment Macao International Marathon.

Through its ongoing “GEG Sports for Good Community Program,” GEG continues to create opportunities for participation, inclusion and community connection, while supporting the Macau SAR Government’s vision of developing Macau into a vibrant City of Sports.”
