Casino Grand Dragon closure in Macau goes smoothly

Authorities in Macau say that the closure of satellite operation Casino Grand Dragon has taken place ‘according to the expected procedures’, with the casino ceasing operations at 11:59 pm on September 22nd.

The satellite is the latest casino to close ahead of the December 31st deadline for all satellite casinos to either be shuttered or be fully taken over by the respective gaming concessionaire.

The closure was overseen by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), as well as the Labor Affairs Bureau (DSAL).

Casino Grand Dragon was operating under the license of Melco Resorts. The operator can now relocate the tables that had been functioning in the property to its other venues in Macau: City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira.
