Hubert Wang departing as MGM China COO, Kenneth Feng assumes CEO position, among other changes

MGM China has announced significant leadership changes, including the departure of President and Chief Operating Officer Hubert Wang and the promotion of Kenneth Feng to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

In a press release, the company indicated that Wang’s departure is with ‘immediate effect to pursue personal aspirations’. The company extended its ‘sincere appreciation to Mr. Wang for his 14 years of dedicated service’.

Wang is set to be replaced in the COO role by Tian Han, who has served with the company since before the opening of MGM Macau in 2007. His most recent role was as SVP of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing.

Prior to his elevation to CEO, Kenneth Feng has served as executive Director of MGM China and President and Director of MGM Grand Paradise Limited – the company subsidiary which holds the Macau gaming concession. Feng has held various roles with MGM Resorts, the parent company of MGM China, since 2001, shifting to MGM China in 2007.

In a Friday press release, the company indicated that, aside from the elevation of Tian Han to COO, Antonio Menano has been promoted to Chief Legal Officer.

Menano has served as MGM China’s Company Secretary, having joined the MGM group as Director for Legal and Administrative Issues and General-Secretary of MGM Grand Paradise in 2005.

In the release, the company noted that ‘These leadership appointments underscore MGM China’s continued commitment to operational excellence and its vision to strengthen leadership in the gaming and hospitality market in Macau, while contributing to the city’s development as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure, in alignment with Macau’s long-term growth objectives’.
