The 13 Hotel is being sold by auction until April 5th. The owner is asking for HKD2.4 billion ($307 million) for the property, which has been closed since February 2020.

According to the Macau local media outlet TDM-Rádio Macau, twenty companies have already expressed interest in learning about the details of the deal.

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is the company chosen by the owner to manage the sale of The 13 Hotel. The General Manager of JLL Macau division, Oliver Tong, said that in the first week after announcing the sales process, JLL had already received responses from twenty potentially interested parties.

Since its opening in 2018, the owners had already attempted to sell the property without success. Now, they have chosen Jones Lang LaSalle as the entity responsible for the sale through bidding.

The 13 Hotel Macau has 22 floors, 196 luxury rooms, and is located in Coloane, near the Cotai Strip, where casinos are concentrated. The sale process began on the 6th and will continue until 6:00 PM on April 5th.

Macau’s Court of First Instance officially declared bankrupt the company behind the defunct luxury hotel The 13 in February 2023.

South Shore Holdings Limited – the parent company of The 13 – had its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange officially canceled on February 9th last year, as the firm failed to resume trading in shares for 18 months.
